It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and once went over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It is hard for their batsmen to possess a record if not afforded the possibility.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it has been a frustrating experience because it appeared I've had no rhythm completely," said Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit kick in and you simply focus on the match."

Healy's competitive nature has always been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from there the right-hander was in motion.

"A chance to play and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if we do, we are confident we can achieve it."

Those words will be the last competing nations at this tournament need to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has grown stronger - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing through the pain.

But while she afterwards confessed those fitness problems have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this tournament is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as skipper.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
